Claude × Higgsfield MCP Guide 2026: Make 4K Images and 15-Second Video From Chat
Connect the Higgsfield MCP to Claude and you can generate 4K images and up to 15-second video straight from a chat prompt. No API key, a 3-step connector setup, 30+ models, marketing clips, vertical cuts and Soul characters — plus the free-plan limit I hit firsthand.
You’ve probably seen the “I made a video with Claude” posts on Instagram and TikTok. I was curious, so I wired it up myself. The short version: it really works. Type a prompt in Claude and Higgsfield renders images and video behind the scenes and hands them back. No API key — just one connector. 4K images, video up to 15 seconds. This is written from actually doing it end to end.
What does it unlock?
In one line: your chat thread becomes the editing room. Things you can just ask Claude to do:
- 4K images and video up to 15 seconds from text (landscape, vertical, square)
- A launch-ready marketing video from a single product URL
- Long YouTube videos cut into vertical TikTok/Reels clips with subtitles
- A consistent character (Soul) trained from a few photos, reused across shots
- A virality score (hook strength, retention risk) before you publish

If you run short-form at volume, the big win is drafting without ever opening an editor.
Why it works — the MCP part
The key is MCP (Model Context Protocol), the open standard that connects AI agents to outside tools. Higgsfield exposes an MCP server, so Claude reaches straight into 30+ models (Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.0, Veo 3.1, Nano Banana Pro and more). Claude picks a model, the render runs asynchronously, and the result drops into the chat when ready. For why MCP changed the game, see how MCP became a de facto standard and Skills vs MCP.
When to use it
| Good fit | Weaker fit |
|---|---|
| Fast short-form/Reels drafts at volume | Frame-precise manual editing |
| Product/marketing video prototyping | Tight credit budgets (see limits) |
| Series needing character consistency | Fully offline/local processing |
How to install it (3 steps, 5 minutes)
Straight from the official flow.
- Copy the MCP URL:
https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp - Claude Settings → Connectors: “Add custom connector” → name it
Higgsfield→ paste the URL - Connect and sign in: Add → Connect → sign in with your Higgsfield account

No API key to generate. It works in Claude web, Cowork and Claude Code; for Claude Code or Codex the CLI (higgsfield.ai/cli) is smoother.
How to use it
Once connected, you just ask. Real prompts:
“Make a launch marketing video from this product URL: shop.example.com/sneakers” “Animate this photo into a 6-second cinematic shot. Bullet Time preset, slow 360° move” “Cut 3 vertical TikTok clips from this 18-min YouTube interview, add subtitles”

Progress shows in a widget, and a download button appears when it’s done. For the bigger automation picture, see AI agent automation ideas.
Quirks and limits (verified firsthand)
Being honest here: when I connected it, my free plan showed 0 credits. So real use effectively requires a paid subscription — each generation spends credits based on model and resolution. Unlimited free generations are supported on only some models (Nano Banana Pro, for one, isn’t). And video takes longer than images — it’s async, so you wait for the result.
Tips and know-how
From actually running it: naming the model keeps results stable (“use Kling 3.0”, “use Seedance 2.0”). To save credits, lock the concept as an image first, then move to video only when you like it. Higgsfield’s Assist (a prompt copilot) flags issues before you burn credits. And you can reuse past generations as references, which is great for keeping a character or tone consistent across a series.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Do I need an API key?
No. Add the server URL (https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp) as a connector and sign in with your Higgsfield account. Nothing to manage.
Q. Can I use it for free? Not really. My free plan showed 0 credits, and generation spends credits, so a paid plan is needed. Some models support limited unlimited-free generation.
Q. Which models are available? 30+, including Soul, Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.0, Veo 3.1, Nano Banana Pro and GPT Image 2. Claude auto-selects, or you specify one.
Q. Does it work in Claude Code? Yes — Claude web, Cowork and Claude Code all work; for Claude Code or Codex the CLI is more convenient.
